Farmer Giles of Ham 60th Anniversary Edition (17.02.09 by Pieter Collier) - Comments

This is a book I have not seen myself yet, but was announced by David Brawn in this interview, Tolkien publications for 2009 by Harper Collins.

It will be a commemorative diamand anniversary edition of Tolkien’s classic book, including the new introduction (from the 50th anniversary edition), a map, a copy of Tolkien’s unpublished short story which he expanded for publication, his notes for an aborted sequel, and the original first edition illustrations by Pauline Baynes.

Farmer Giles of Ham is written by J.R.R. Tolkien, illustrated by Pauline Baynes and edited by the two Tolkien scholars Christina Scull and Wayne G. Hammond
