This Limited Numbered Edition was published in 1987 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the original publication of The Hobbit.
Bound in dark green leather, and housed in the original publishers slipcase, as issued. This copy is numbered #447 of 500, very scarce and only rarely available for sale.
The book also contains the special forword by Christopher Tolkien.
Still packed in the original shipping box, with #447 Limitation Notice on the outside.
No foxing, no marks other than the sunning of the spine, still crackles when opened. In unread condition, a must for the serious collector.
