The 3rd Conference On Middle-earth (01.04.10 by Pieter Collier) - Comments

It has been a while since the First(1969) and Second (1971) Conferences on Middle-earth, actually they were held long before I was born. But I have been informed by Thain Peregrin Took II [aka Jan Howard Finder] that there will be held a 3rd Conference on Middle-earth on 26 March 2011 at the Westford Regency Inn in Westford, MA, USA.

The book "A Tolkien Compass" edited by Jared Lobdell came from the first two conferences, so I'm certain this 3rd one will be very interesting to visit, follow or support!

So, they call you to come over and speak of J.R.R. Tolkien, his works, works based on Tolkien and his works, criticism, teaching Tolkien in the classroom, the impact of the books on yourself, friends, family, and/or the world, the films & the film industry, the music, the art, the fannish side of this universe and its impact, and anything and lots more.

This is a gathering where you can sit in the Green Dragon and discuss Elvish or Orcish table manners, if they have any. This is a celebration of Middle-earth, and all that it implies.
