An exceptional and lovely set of first editions of this classic of fantasy literature. The set is all original cloth with the correct dustjackets. The dustjackets are all Very Good condition. The Fellowship shows some wrinkling, some damp staining, with minor chips or loss to the tips of the spine fold area. The Two Towers is very clean and bright, with no loss or chips. The Return of the King shows some minor chips or loss to the tips of the spine, with closed tear to the lower front spine fold area. This set is very scarce, with the variant Slate Blue/Grey Binding on the first book. Original maps present in all three volumes. Previous owners name & date on the ffep of the Fellowship.
